PRStreet Selected as Agency of Record for the

Brody Scholar Program at East Carolina University

(Raleigh, NC) March 25, 2008- The Brody family of eastern North Carolina chose PRStreet, the Triangle’s award winning marketing and public relations firm, as its agency of record.  PRStreet will handle all media relations, publicity, and other responsibilities for the Brody Scholar Program.

“Giving back to ECU and our community has always been the Brody family’s ambition” said David Brody, from the Brody Scholar Program.  “Having a firm, like PRStreet, that is also aware of the needs of a community will help us achieve our goals and provide a better education for North Carolinians.”

The Brody Family Scholar Program enables students to avoid the burden of financial debt and student loans so they can more easily afford to practice medicine in eastern North Carolina and surrounding areas.  The scholarship provides full tuition and fees and most living expenses for four years of medical school, allowing students to choose a medical specialty without fear of debt after graduation.  With the most recent gift of $8 million, the family’s cumulative financial support to the medical school comes to around $22 million, since the 1960’s.

“Education is something that PRStreet is passionate about” said Graham Wilson, president of PRStreet.  “The Brody family and their program will continue to improve ECU’s medical school and as a result, will improve the quality of healthcare given to citizens of North Carolina.  PRStreet is here to ensure that happens.”
