1st Carolina Properties Names Leasing Agent for Sunset Commons

Larry Cheek to Handle Leasing of Area’s Newest Shopping Center

 

(Sunset Beach, NC) January 3, 2006 –1st Carolina Properties, developer of Sunset Commons, is pleased to announce that Larry Cheek, president of Resort Brokerage and Consulting, Inc, has been named leasing agent for the center.  Sunset Commons, Sunset Beach’s new upscale shopping center, will be anchored by a state-of-the art 40,000 square foot Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

 

Approximately 57% of the 70,000 square foot project is under lease. Other national chain categories reviewing lease proposals include a hair salon, video store, hardware store, ice cream and sandwich shop.  Out parcels could include a convenience store and bank.  The center is also being considered by a local pizza restaurant, ladies apparel store and tanning and nail spa.  The new center is scheduled to open in late spring 2006.

Larry Cheek founded Resort Brokerage and Consulting in 2000.  The company’s main service area is Brunswick County, with special emphasis on Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach.

 

Sunset Commons is projected to reach more than 8,000 households in a mere three mile radius, including the Ocean Isle and Sunset Beach communities. The shopping center will be located at the intersection of Seaside Highway (Highway 904) and Old Georgetown Road, just outside of Sunset Beach.
